Emergency planning

Sub-page under construction

How's this for a start - each building should have a map of the immediate surrounding area and designated gathering points. And some notes about the location of stockpiled, emergency supplies. And it goes without saying that there ought to be off-site storage for non-perishable, emergency supplies.

And maybe some reminders - general safety tips like how to politely ask a police officer or special constable for their I.D.

When you consider events like the late 2024-January 2025 wildfires in Los Angeles, and before that what happened in the Yellowknife NWT, and Fort McMurray AB areas, emergency planning ought to be high on everyone's list of things to do.

According to a CBC radio item in mid-May - people in Hay River, NWT were saying
*they had not been clear, as to their position* in local emergency planning, ahead of the wildfires
